    1. rcom is gud on charts,if you have taken it as an short term bet its wrong investment,if it is before expiry bet its gud,it needs support from index.exit if it breaks 151.

  5. Hello Hari Ji,

I am an amateur trader and learning to forecast the price everyday. If I may ask, how do you arrive at whether a certain stock will go up or down on intraday before even the market opens ? What all aspects do u look at. It would be a great help for many of us here if you could do a write up around how to do research before intraday.

    Thanks for your great work.

    1. Hie manish, glad to know that you are interested in tracking market,my answer would be to follow charts..they comunicate us very well every minute,,view it with perfect rationality keeping in mind support and resistance levels. That would me more than enough for a sucessful trade.

  6. Hi dattha ji, i am having a doubt on expiry of nifty lots. As it is clear that 26 sep is going to be the expiry day. Then till what date we can trade with nifty lots. On Friday also we can trade sep lots which is 27thsep. please clear my confusion.

    1. Hie suresh you cant trade on 27,contracts get expired on 26 at closing bell, however if its future contract you can roll over your contract to next series and dis feautre is not available with options.

    2. This raised another question for me, please allow me to ask sir,

If on 26th sep cotract expires, if i have 5900 ce , (say) on 26th nifty closes at 6000, and 27th nifty closes at 6100.... on what day they will execute this contract and which point of close they take into consideration
      for execution

    3. suresh,27 doesnt come into picture at all.as 26 th is expiry, all contracts get expired on dat day closing bell, all counterpartys have to respect their obligation.
Seems you are confused.26 sept expiry itself mentions that contracts get expired on that day. They wil take into consideration the closing price on 26.

  8. Hi Hari Dattha,
I am new to the world of intraday trading and trading in derivatives. What do you mean by "shorting" and how do you do it in sbicapsec/icicidirect/..in any brokerage?
Please answer before eod and I will start from tomorrow itself.. Thanks a lot in advance...

    1. Hie,intraday refres to closing positions on that day itself.if you buy,uil sell it back at 3,if you are short,u wud buy back at 3. Shorting means selling the stock without holding it.
for example if you feel that tomarow index will fal(which is at 6000)l,then you will short the index contract,at the end of the day if your analysis comes true and index falls to 5900,then u wud squareoff{buy} at 5900..in total 100 is profit for you.selling at high, buying at low.

Regarding how to trade,u need to consult your broker he wud xplain you the best.Dont enter into trading without having clear knowledge on fundamentals, else uil burn your hands.
      Good luck

    2. Thank you Hari. Really nice of you to reply in such an elaborate manner.
Just a small clarification. You had mentioned "Short crompton greaves with a target of 86.9 sl at 93"..which means you would buy back Crompton if it reaches 86.9 and sell it having a stop loss at 93.

    3. ya you are right.am selling at 89,with a target of 86.9..that means wen it reaches 86.9 i would square off {buy in this case} making a profit of 2.10,
i have kept stop loss at 93.that means when it reaches 93 my position will get automatically squared off, that results in loss of 4 rupees.

    4. Thank you Hari once again.
Is this concept applicable only to margin products or even to those stocks which are taken at intraday and can be converted to delivery and vice versa?
